Poem in Remembrance of 9/11

Blasted skin

under the rubble

strobing lights
relinquishing
space and time

separation:
the plume of
silver-black grows
across the
afternoon
sky: blanketing
the day into dusk

skinned hands
knees, elbows,
heat, loathing
terror unbelievably
thrust down

Dust caked throats

All forgotten in time
